Rehana was humbled to be asked by Raashida Khan – poet and author to facilitate the launch of her debut novel – Mirror Cracked. Love Books in Rustenburg Road, Melville was the perfect setting for a conversation about life, love, identity and the unexpected twists and turns that characterise life. The diverse audience also had some interesting exchanges about faith and Muslim identity. On a cold Jozi winter night, warm hearts connected and shared from a space of authenticity. Raashida also invited attendees to contribute books to Siyafunda – an NGO collecting books for children in rural areas.
