A short piece on what Mthunzi Mdwaba had to say about The Future of Work Round-table hosted by Uber and facilitated by The Barefoot Facilitator.
On the 7th of March, I had lots of fun preesenting and participating at a workshop on the Future of Work (FoW), sharking the ILO’s Global Commission’s Report.
It was an amazing initiative convened by the Head of Public Policy, Yolisa Kani of Uber SA & was attended by some of their driver/owners.
We had Professors from the Universities of Nairobi & the Western Cape (UWC) where I am an Adjunct Associate Professor of Law & numerous other members of society. The fishbowl (circle formed for the discussion) facilitated by The Barefoot Facilitator – Rehana was illuminating, rich, encouraging & inspiring demonstrating that social dialogue is the ideal way to create a better world. I of course was representing the IOE, the largest private sector organization representing over 50 million companies through our 150 global members in 143 countries.
